Yr 9

Hollybank

On Tuesday, October 21st, the Year 9 students took on the Hollybanks high ropes course in a full-day excursion focused on challenge and team building. Navigating suspended obstacles high above the ground, students were pushed out of their comfort zones, developing resilience and confidence. The course demanded trust, communication, and cooperation, as students supported one another through each stage. From zip lines to rope bridges, the experience fostered camaraderie and personal growth. Many overcame fears and discovered new strengths, making it a memorable and empowering day. The Year 9 teaching team were very impressed with the many students who took part and gave their best effort - a great day all around.

Health Careers Program

At the end of Term 3, twelve Year 9 students from Reece High School attended the Year 9 Health Careers Program at the Rural Clinical School, Mersey Community Hospital.

The program gave students the chance to experience what it is like to work in the health field — meeting professionals, exploring different roles, and taking part in hands-on activities.

It was an inspiring day that opened their eyes to the many pathways available in health care.

We’re very proud of the way our students represented Reece High and engaged so enthusiastically throughout the day.
